APM Terminals has announced that Peter Wikström will step into the role of chief financial officer starting 1 January. Wikström, who joined the Maersk group in 2016 after 15 years in investment banking with SEB and China International Capital, most recently led mergers & acquisitions at Maersk from 2019. In this role, he strengthened Maersk’s M&A capabilities and spearheaded key acquisitions.

Since 2023, Wikström has also overseen strategic brands, including MCI, Maersk Training, Stillstrøm, Frey Commodities, and Svitzer.

“APM Terminals is a high-performing company with a proven track record of adding value for its stakeholders. I look forward to joining the talented APMT team from January and contribute to the exciting growth journey that the company has ahead,” Wikström said.
