The AXL 40 Under 40 campaign is gaining attention with a record number of nominations as it aims to spotlight emerging talents in the breakbulk, project cargo, and heavy lift sectors. With the deadline approaching, there is still time for professionals under 40 to be recognized for their contributions.

This initiative celebrates the next generation of leaders who have already made significant impacts or show strong potential to drive innovation within the industry. Margaret Dunn, Portfolio Director at AXL, emphasized the importance of recognizing future leaders, stating: "AXL is about showcasing innovations that help the industry face future challenges, but success also depends on effective leadership. The AXL 40 Under 40 is designed to celebrate those poised to lead the sector forward."

Past winners, such as Igor Alves, Transport & Logistics Manager at Hitachi Energy, and Samuel Bersey, Business Development & Operational Manager at Lubbers Logistics Group, have shared their experiences of the recognition. Alves noted that being named in the 40 Under 40 was a catalyst for growth and helped strengthen his industry connections. Bersey emphasized that success requires hard work, perseverance, and a passion for the industry.

The selected 40 honourees will be recognized with VIP status at AntwerpXL 2024, including a presentation ceremony on the final day of the event. The selection criteria focus on recognizing professionals making a tangible impact on their organizations or the industry.

Nominations are open for professionals in breakbulk, heavy lift, and RO-RO sectors who are under 40 as of October 10, 2024. For more information on the campaign or to register for AntwerpXL 2024, which takes place from October 8-10, visit the event website.
