Designed by the 708 Research Institute of the China Shipbuilding Group, the steel-hulled vessel measures 75 meters in length, 14 meters in beam, and 6.3 meters in depth, with a draft of 4 meters upon completion.

The vessel will be powered by an electric propulsion system, featuring three diesel generators and two azimuthing thrusters, alongside dynamic positioning systems and bow thrusters for enhanced lateral manoeuvrability. With a range of 5,000 nautical miles, the vessel can operate for up to 40 days at sea, performing essential duties such as buoy inspection and maintenance to support safe navigation.
