UK-based Union Maritime has further expanded its tanker orderbook by securing four new 24,200 dwt handysize product carriers at the restructured Dalian Shipbuilding Offshore Company (DSOC) in China. The vessels are expected to be delivered in 2026, with each unit estimated to cost around $30 million.

Union Maritime, led by Laurent Cadji, currently operates a fleet of 115 vessels, including tankers, bulk carriers, and offshore support ships. The company also has 49 ships under construction, slated for delivery between 2025 and 2027.

DSOC, which was officially launched in September 2023, is a restructured shipyard formerly known as DSIC Offshore. The yard’s first project under its new branding was a 7,500 cu m liquefied CO2 carrier ordered by Germany’s Bernhard Schulte, backed by a charter deal with Northern Lights, a joint venture involving Shell, TotalEnergies, and Equinor.
