During the incident, the captain of a nearby passenger vessel was heard over the radio warning, "Get away, save yourselves! The steering seems stuck; it's heading towards the park. Let's evacuate the park!"
Following the accident, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that due to the contact between the two vessels, their rescue tugs KURTARMA-2, KURTARMA-5, and MEHMETÇİK, along with the fast rescue boat KEGM-4, were promptly dispatched to the scene. The ships are expected to be towed to the Ahırkapı anchorage. It was confirmed that only material damage occurred in the incident, and the situation is being monitored closely.
