Rescue Operation for Crew of Abandoned Panama-Flagged Vessel in Red Sea Rescue Operation for Crew of Abandoned Panama-Flagged Vessel in Red Sea

The newly ordered Grampian Kestrel, designed by Vard 4 22, marks a significant step in the development process.

This announcement follows a long-term charter agreement North Star signed in February for a Vard 407-design SOV dedicated to the same project.

Located 90 km northwest of Borkum and 110 km west of Helgoland, the He Dreiht wind farm is set to have a total installed capacity of 960 MW, featuring 64 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 15 MW, scheduled to connect to Germany's grid by late 2025.

The Grampian Kestrel will facilitate accommodation and logistical support during the construction and commissioning phases in 2025. Following this period, the vessel will assist EnBW with operations and maintenance until the delivery of the newbuild SOV in the summer of 2026.
