Philippines states China fired water cannon on supply vessel

The Philippines has accused the China Coast Guard of using water cannons to damage a supply boat in the disputed South China Sea. The boat, named Unaizah May 4, was delivering supplies to Philippine forces stationed at a territorial outpost in the Second Thomas Shoal.

According to the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the boat sustained heavy damage from the water cannon blasts and was unable to continue its journey. Additionally, China's Coast Guard reportedly deployed floating barriers to prevent further access to the shoal.

However, China denied these allegations, stating that their actions were in line with the law and were carried out professionally. This incident follows a similar collision involving the Unaizah May 4 earlier this month.

The Second Thomas Shoal is at the center of conflicting claims between Beijing and Manila.
