At 0335 hours on 23 January, a dry bulk carrier named "Mirabella" collided with another bulk carrier named "Omega" about 16 nautical miles north of the Yangtze River Estuary
The ship, Omega sank after a collision but the crew was rescued by their own efforts, and 3 injuries were reported.
The captain of the Miraballe which hit Omega was arrested. There was a storm when everyone was sleeping on the ship. Since the ship crashed Omega from the port side Omega couldn't take maneuver.
It is also informed that the crew of Omega was taken to the ship which hit it.
