The Italian Navy's historic sailing ship, Amerigo Vespucci, has anchored at Mumbai's Indira Dock as part of its global tour. Dubbed "the most beautiful ship in the world," the 93-year-old vessel will remain in Mumbai until December 2, hosting the Villaggio Italia exposition and other cultural events to strengthen ties between Italy and India.
During its five-day stop, the ship opened its decks to the public from November 29 to December 1, with all slots fully booked. Events include a painting competition, product exhibitions, film screenings, and a concert by the Italian Air Force band. Prominent Italian officials, including Minister Adolfo Urso and Ambassador Antonio Bartoli, marked the occasion.
Mumbai is the 28th destination on the Amerigo Vespucci's world tour, which highlights Italian naval heritage and culture.
