EPS Adopts AI Digital Twins for Enhanced Fleet Efficiency

Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) has entered into an agreement with DeepSea Technologies for a fleet-wide deployment of its Cassandra Performance Monitoring platform, following the completion of a trial of DeepSea’s high-frequency AI performance models.

The fleet comprises various segments, including bulk, tanker, gas, container, and PCTC vessels, many of which are already equipped with high-frequency sensors to collect detailed data.

EPS will utilize the system to monitor its fleet in real-time through AI-generated digital twins of vessel machinery. This application’s modeling and analytics will provide comprehensive insights into the fleet’s performance, allowing EPS to make dynamic, real-time decisions to minimize fuel consumption and reduce GHG emissions.

“As we embark on this journey of digital transformation, harnessing the power of DeepSea’s Cassandra platform, we’re not just optimizing performance,” said Pavlos Karagiannidis, EPS’ Fleet Performance Manager. “We are charting a course towards a more sustainable and efficient future for maritime operations.”
