NWC to South Africa service
As part of this upgrade, the current NWC to South Africa Service rotation will now include a direct call at Bremerhaven, affording customers greater flexibility when transporting cargo between Germany and South Africa.
The revised rotation for the service is as follows:
London Gateway – Rotterdam – Antwerp – Hamburg – Bremerhaven – Le Havre – Sines – Las Palmas – Coega – Durban – Coega – Cape Town – Las Palmas – London Gateway
The inaugural vessel following this updated route will be the MSC BRANKA, embarking on voyage NZ411A and expected to dock in Bremerhaven on 19 March 2024.
Ingonyama Service
In a complementary move, MSC introduces the Ingonyama Service, a new feeder service establishing a weekly sea link between the port of East London, South Africa, and Coega.
Commencing with the departure of the TOKATA F from Coega on 25 March 2024, the Ingonyama Service creates a direct maritime connection between East London's manufacturing hub and one of South Africa's primary ports. This initiative presents a practical alternative to truck transport, facilitating seamless cargo movement.
Crafted to enhance flexibility and expand MSC’s port coverage in South Africa, this additional service promises a more direct avenue for cargo traversing between NWC and South Africa. Furthermore, the feeder service offers improved choices for customers shipping goods from East London's industrial hub, providing seamless access to MSC's global network.
