Sanmar has a rich history of building and delivering tugboats for domestic and international clients. The launch of the new-build tugboat marks another significant step forward in the company’s mission to lead the way in creating a sustainable tug and towing industry.

Ordered by major operator and long-time Sanmar client SAAM Towage, the new tug is based on the exclusive-to-Sanmar ElectRA 2500SX design from Canadian naval architects Robert Allan Ltd, and is the eighth groundbreaking fully electric tug Sanmar has built.
