Norwegian shipping company Solstad Offshore has secured a significant three-year contract with an international contractor for its 2014-built construction support vessel (CSV), Normand Frontier. The contract starts immediately and ensures the vessel’s full commitment through the end of 2027.
The Normand Frontier, a 121-meter-long vessel owned by Solstad Maritime Holding (with Solstad Offshore holding a 27.3% stake), will support the client’s worldwide operations. Solstad Offshore and Omega Subsea will provide two work-class remotely operated vehicles (WROVs), including manning, tooling, survey services, and project personnel as part of the agreement.
While commercial terms are confidential, Solstad confirmed that they align with current market levels for this type of vessel. Notably, Solstad Subsea Holding is set to acquire a 35.8% stake in Omega Subsea by the end of 2024. This news follows a recent contract award for the largest vessel in Solstad’s fleet, which will remain fully committed until 2026.
