The Israeli Container Line is banned in Malaysian Ports

The Malaysian Government launches new sanctions against Israel as the war is escalating.

According to an official statement from The Malaysian government, the country has prohibited all ship' activities which are carried out by ZIM at Malaysian ports. Additionally, Malaysia is also banning ships bearing Israeli flags, and will prevent vessels destined for Israel from loading cargo at its ports, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said in a statement Wednesday. The ban is effective immediately.

Malaysia has announced its decision to prevent ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, based in Israel, from anchoring at any of the nation's ports. This symbolic move reflects a growing sense of frustration over the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
