Wan Hai Lines Expands Direct Shipping Services to India

Wan Hai Lines has made a notable move to enhance its shipping services by expanding its network in India. The company recently announced the introduction of a direct service from Indonesia to West India, named SI8 (SOUTH EAST ASIA-INDIA SERVICE VIII), which will commence in May 2024. The first call of SI8 at the BMCT terminal on May 19th marked the successful launch of this new route.

The SI8 service is designed to offer customers more comprehensive and convenient shipping options, providing direct connections to ports such as Jakarta and Surabaya, while also serving the traditional Far East region. This expansion aims to deliver faster, more efficient, and extensive transportation services between Indonesia and India, catering to the evolving needs of customers.

The port rotation for the SI8 service includes the following stops: Jakarta – Surabaya – Singapore – Port Kelang North Port – Mundra – Nhava Sheva – Port Kelang North Port – Jakarta. This development underscores Wan Hai Lines’ dedication to enhancing its shipping capabilities and meeting the increasing demand for dependable and efficient maritime transportation services in the region.
