TotalEnergies Expands LNG Bunkering Capacity with New Vessel TotalEnergies Expands LNG Bunkering Capacity with New Vessel

The 430-foot-long barge-shaped vessel is equipped with a towering 500-foot derrick capable of driving 700-tonne piles with a force of 5,000 tonnes. Its advanced positioning system ensures precise placement of piles within centimeters of the intended location on the seabed.

The Erhang Changqing takes the title from the previous record holder, the Yi Hang Jin Zhuang, built by ZPMC in 2022 for CCCC First Harbor Engineering. Both vessels are crucial for offshore projects, including the installation of wind turbine foundations and jacket piles for offshore structures, where their size and capabilities are essential for handling the world’s largest offshore wind turbines.

ZPMC is also constructing the largest Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit, the N1151 (P-82), for Petrobras in Brazil, further demonstrating its expertise in building specialized, large-scale vessels for heavy civil works and offshore oil and gas projects.
