This collaboration will allow vessels equipped with Anemoi's Rotor Sails to use NAPA's software to optimize routes, improve performance, and maximize fuel savings and emission reductions.

As part of the agreement, NAPA's software will be offered as an option for all future sales of Anemoi's Rotor Sails, including both new ships and retrofits. NAPA Voyage Optimization software provides route recommendations based on a detailed 3D model of each vessel, taking into account factors such as wind speeds, wave conditions, currents, water depth, and safety. This approach helps ship captains select routes that make the most efficient use of Rotor Sail technology.

Rotor Sails are becoming a key energy-saving technology for meeting international emission reduction standards like the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI), Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI), and the Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII). Anemoi's Rotor Sails have been shown to reduce carbon emissions by up to 30% on routes with favorable wind conditions.

Kim Diederichsen, CEO of Anemoi, emphasized the importance of data in improving the efficiency of Rotor Sails and supporting global shipping decarbonization efforts. Mikko Kuosa, CEO of NAPA, highlighted the partnership as an example of how data analytics can drive maritime efficiency and sustainability.

Anemoi and NAPA will present their collaboration at SMM in Hamburg on Wednesday, September 4, at Stand 321 in Hall A3, including a live presentation and a Q&A session.
