H-Line Shipping to Equip Fleet with AI Navigation System

H-Line Shipping partners with Avikus to deploy the autonomous navigation system ‘HiNAS Control’ on its fleet, enhancing safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Avikus, HD Hyundai's autonomous navigation technology subsidiary, has signed a major contract with H-Line Shipping to deploy its AI-driven navigation solution, HiNAS Control, across the shipping company’s fleet.

Announced on December 16, the agreement will initially see HiNAS Control applied to five vessels, with plans to expand deployment to up to 30 ships by next year. This collaboration aims to boost operational safety, reduce crew workload, and achieve fuel savings to meet stricter environmental regulations.

HiNAS Control integrates sensor data and navigation systems to optimize vessel routes and speed, delivering proven benefits, including up to 15% fuel savings on trial voyages.

H-Line Shipping's CEO, Myung-deuk Seo, highlighted the importance of technological innovation for sustainability and global competitiveness, while Avikus’ CEO, Do-Hyeong Lim, emphasized the system's safety and efficiency.

This partnership underscores the growing adoption of next-generation autonomous navigation solutions in the maritime industry.
