Dutch firm Multraship Towage & Salvage has officially welcomed the MULTRATUG 36, a Damen ASD Tug 3212, into its fleet during a christening ceremony held on November 1 in Terneuzen, the Netherlands. Jacqueline Pey, spouse of Senior Commercial Manager Chris Pey, named the vessel, wishing the crew "fair winds and following seas."

This new tug is the latest in a trio ordered from Damen to meet growing project demands. MULTRATUG 36, with a 32-meter design and a maximum bollard pull of 89.5 tonnes, is built for deep-sea and coastal towage, salvage, and offshore support.

The tug will assist in high-profile projects, including Belgium’s pioneering Princess Elisabeth Island, the first artificial energy island, and the Fehmarnbelt tunnel connecting Denmark and Germany. Enhanced with Damen’s NOX Reduction system, FiFi-1 firefighting, and anchor handling upgrades, MULTRATUG 36 reflects Multraship’s commitment to efficient, environmentally conscious operations.
